What Is The Capital Of Venezuela ?

Caracas has a population of about 4 million people. Caracas is the capital of the South American northern country called Venezuela.

It hugs the coast and is near La Guaira Port. It is still about 800 meters above the sea floor, which is the reason the climate of this city is intriguing.  There is a gigantic mountain near Caracas which is called Avila. It is 2600 meters to the summit. Here is a hotel that is accessible by cable car that is currently shut down because of renovations. This hotel is called the Humboldt Hotel and it resides above this steep mountain. Playing around with this mountain is popular. The weather is nice and cool and with about 3 – 4 hours, one can have a healthy hike on some of the mountain trails. One can return on the cable car or just simple use gravity and walk down. Don’t wear high heels!

Caracas is the cultural focal point of this once vibrant country. It is sort of downtrodden because of the current big brother regime. The museum of modern art is here and there are some amazing art pieces here. Annually, Caracas hosts an International Theater Festival which attracts talent from all over the planet.

Do you like to eat? Burger King I am sure is there which is where I would be at least once. But there are world class restaurants and cuisines in this city. The local food is quite tasteful as well. Shopping is a common retreat as well. There are some fine shopping centers that sparkle to the incoming tourist. I am sure prices are a lot less than they are at Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego. In the 1950’s, there was a small Italian diaspora and this is what forced a market of gold jewels and Italian style shoes.

The main airport that buttresses Caracas is Maiquetia International Airport (Simon Bolivar). Bolivar must been a stud since his named is marked on so many different things. It is a modern and functional airport which is linked to cities in the interior of Venezuela, the rest of South America, and to North America as well.

Beautiful beaches which serve these people so pleasantly are about 30 minutes away from Caracas. These beaches are popular all year around. Avila is always inviting as well. An astonishing destination, for complete relaxation is “Colonia Tovar,” a German Village sitting in the tropics.

What-Type-Of-Food-Is-In-Venezuela      Venezuela’s food and drink is not pervasive. It just pertains to the state or area one is at. Many of the Venezuelan plates string from French, Italian, and Spanish recipes. There is nothing wrong with that. But Venezuelans have added their own tastes and flavors and now they can boast they have their own menus as well. Evolution seems to have taken root as it usually does.  More..
