The leader of the Foreign Exchange Administration Commission (Cadivi), Edgar Hernandez articulated that he has sent in the demands for dollars. |
Without any hesitation, received in ninety days since Venezuela’s exchange market was put on suspension. Hernandez delivered to Notimex that Cadivi has answered to all inquiries issued his way and then he pointed the finger at the supposed shortage of foreign currency on businesses for not matching the obligations for them to collect dollars.
"To the extent that those making the requests are up to date on their tax payments, the process of providing dollars will be speeded up, because we grant these authorizations with the best intentions and this is what we have been doing," said Hernandez.
Today indicates a quarter of a year since the exchange market was shut down. He said to date Cadivi has allowed $34 million over this time period. But professionals and banks declare they have not seen one dollar come their way.
The wonderful Venezuelan government suspended the sale of foreign currency on January 21st. Two weeks afterward, it enumerated the exchange rate regulation, with a stark warning that it would not disseminate $1 to the coup barbarians. This was coinciding with the businessman who acted in the 2 month government protest.
Hernandez said Cadivi has more than $1 billion in its stash. These are for the companies that send in the correct forms.
Economist Francisco Vivanco proposed legitimate concerns to Notimex that if this situation is not tackled soon, Venezuela could fall victim to economic devastation. Thank you Hugo for all of your doings. Vivanco continues to blame the government. He proclaims Chavez’s government is either hurtful or incompetent. Frightening, either way.
