There is a place on this planet for everyone. Lush forests to exotic beaches, this country has it all. It is Venezuela.

The only shameful aspect is its ferocious leader who is isolating his country and undermining their economic status. But we have that going on in America, at least the latter. Venezuela has a very unique name, it is quite romantic. When the first overseas explorers floated up to the coast, they saw some housing. These houses were near the Sinamaica lagoon which is in the Zulia state. It reminded them of the city of Venice. This area was labeled “Little Venice.” In Spanish, this translates into Venezuela.

The capital of Venezuela is Caracas. Multifariousness comes to mind. Caracas has wonderful temperatures and is along the ocean with sandy beaches. Inland, but not far, are high rise mountains with rivers and waterfalls. Some of the noteworthy spots to frequent in Venezuela are:

The Gran Sabana. This is in the southeast, called the Bolivar State. The mountains here have flat tops titled “Tepuy.” Located here is Angel Falls, the highest waterfall the world knows about. It is a sheer 3,000 feet up or about 800 meters from the cliff floor. Not even Lebron James can jump that high.

Are you an art connoisseur or just a rank amateur like the character in Transformer’s II? Museo de Arte Contemporaneo in Caracas is an amazing place to visit regardless on how much art knowledge or interest you contain. Some people may want to remain their longer than others but it has some amazing art for all to enjoy. There is some of the best art here in all of South America. There are works from Picasso, Matisse, Joan Miro, and even from brilliant artists who are alive today.

Venezuela has impressive mountains. The supreme being in terms of mountains is the “Pico Bolivar.” It is 5,002 meters above sea level. Wow, be careful where one steps!
There is a gorgeous nature park called Parque Los Caobos which is in Caracas. Some of the trees are a century old and the park has a spectacular man made fountain.

There are amazing sand dunes in Venezuela. They are near the highway Coro.
