Ethiopia’s hunger problem is worsening according to UNICEF. The alarmingly increasing numbers of malnourished children in Ethiopia has been a big problem of the United Nations and its partners. |
The reason for this hunger in Ethiopia is because of the long drought that damaged the richness of its land. Because of the drought, the soil is not suitable for planting and more and more livestock died.
How can the hunger in Ethiopia end? How can the Ethiopia hunger problem be solved? The reasons for the shortage of food in this country are poor production of food, problem in its market, lack of information of the farmers about the new and advanced technology in farming, and most of all, poor leadership.
Civil wars that occurred in this country greatly affected its economy. The war worsened the famine of the people living in this country. Poor irrigation is another problem in the farming system of Ethiopia. The government has not been investing enough for the betterment of its farming system. The government should put more attention on how they can overcome the drought happening in the country. They should have programs that will increase their food production to lessen their problems in the shortage of foods. The government must invest more, giving the farmers the newest technology in farming so that the farmers will be able to increase the crop productions that will greatly solve the poverty experiencing by its constituents. Advanced and better farming will surely reduce the hunger crisis happening in this hunger stricken country.
