The ancient Egyptian gods were responsible over the Egyptian flora and fauna, sea and land, air and water, life and death and everything about Egypt. The first gods of Egypt are said to have played a role closely resembling the biblical story of creation. The old Egyptian tradition explained that Kheper who was a form of the sun god Re. created all gods of Egypt The sun god Re or Kheper made all other gods from his own body. These gods include Osiris, Nephyts, Isis, horus, set and others.

The Egyptian gods’ goddesses that were highly revered included the god Osiris, osis, Anubis, nephyths, Horus, Thoth, set, Re, Atum and Putah among many others. Over the years, the religion and cult hood of the Egyptians saw many of these gods forgotten. In the event of this passing of religion, some of the gods and goddesses became even more popular. This was attributed to the fallout of other gods and goddesses. Both the citizenry and the pharaohs of Egypt obeyed the gods and goddesses of Egypt. The Egyptian kings renowned as pharaohs have been reputed for their subscription to the services of these gods and goddesses.
